John – We want to make sure you saw Marilyn’s important message on gun violence.

The House has already passed several measures aimed at protecting our communities from further tragedies, but the Senate has yet to do the same.

Click here to demand action to protect our children and our communities. Marilyn needs 10,000 supporters to make our voices heard in honor of National Gun Violence Awareness Month. [[link removed]]

Forwarded Message from Marilyn Strickland:

John,

Children and families are calling us to action.

Mass shootings in Buffalo, Uvalde, and Tulsa all happened within three weeks of one another. They aren’t the only instances of gun violence that took innocent lives over three weeks, and they certainly won’t be the last gun tragedies we face this year in our nation.

Gun violence is now the leading cause of death for children in America.

It is long past time to take bold action to protect our children, our communities and finally end gun violence in America. Will you be one of the 10,000 supporters I need to sign on and join me in demanding the Senate take action? [[link removed]]

Last week, I joined my colleagues in the House to pass critical legislation that bans weapons of war such as high-capacity magazines, and raises the minimum age to purchase an assault rifle to 21.

Washington State has long been a leader in common sense gun safety laws, and advocating for reforms that make our schools, families, and communities safer. We’ve seen gun violence devastate our nation — we can’t accept inaction any longer.

Add your name to join me in demanding action. [[link removed]]

Thank you for standing with me in the fight to make our nation more safe, more just and more secure.

Sincerely,
Marilyn
