We’ve got some bad news:

Last night, the GOP flipped a House seat in Texas from blue to red — a seat that Joe Biden carried in 2020.

Last night's results happened for two very simple reasons: Republicans were able to outspend Democrats, and they turned out their base in sufficient numbers.

When long-time Democratic seats like Texas's 34th are at risk, it's clear that we can take nothing for granted in 2022. Republicans will now be looking to expand the House playing field, and they will go after incumbents like LBR who have championed the Democratic agenda.
