We are going into the 2022 elections with fairest maps in a generation, and I want to thank you for the work you’ve done to make that possible.

But I also want to take a moment to remember that all the progress we have made is fragile. Like our democracy, fair elections are continuously under siege by a political party that is comfortable bending -- or even breaking -- the structures of our democracy to maintain power.

That’s why it is so important that we continue the work that has gotten us this far.
