** Tell Gov. Hochul: Sign the Crypto Mining Moratorium Bill Now!

The NYS Legislature passed a bill which would establish a two-year moratorium on air permits for fossil fuel plants that power proof-of-work cryptocurrency mining!
Now, Governor Hochul must sign this bill into law. This will be a crucial test of her willingness to stand with the people of New York instead of standing with the wealthy fossil fuel and cryptocurrency interests who donate to her campaign ([link removed]) so they can continue to pollute for profit. Governor Hochul must choose whether to side with New Yorkers or the polluters.
** Please call Gov. Hochul at 877-235-6537 between now and 6/20 and urge her to sign this critical bill into law with this suggested call script:

Please join Seneca Lake Guardian at the gazebo on the lake side of the Finger Lakes Welcome Center for an outdoor family-friendly rally calling on Governor Hochul to deny Greenidge's Title V Air Permit Renewal and to sign the crypto moratorium bill into law. The New York State Legislature passed a moratorium on crypto mining in fossil fuel burning plants, but this DOES NOT impact the Greenidge fracked gas plant along Seneca Lake ([link removed]) which has already been expanded to mine Bitcoin. The Governor has to sign this into law to prevent other communities from being negatively impacted by this harmful industry. She also has the authority to deny Greenidge's Title Air Permit Renewal - a decision which she has kicked down the road not once, but twice - as she has accepted campaign donations from the pro-crypto industry. This event falls right before the Gubernatorial Primary Election on June 28th, and we need to come out IN
FORCE to let Gov. Hochul know how the Finger Lakes community feels about this polluting industry! Please also share with your friends and organizations.
