This deadline comes as Senate Republicans continue to announce record-breaking fundraising numbers, raising hundreds of millions of dollars (and pledging to spend just as much) to attack vulnerable Democrats who are running for re-election.

We have so much to fight for right now. We are in intensive negotiations and I am optimistic about passing a strong climate bill. A bipartisan group of Senators are finalizing a major gun control package. And we’re learning more disturbing truths about Trump’s campaign from the January 6 committee public hearings.

But the November elections are a few short months away, and Republicans are already flooding the airwaves with negative attack ads.
