FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
WSDOT to Begin Nighttime Construction on July 1 in Parts of East County
Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT) is set to begin construction on two fish passage culverts on SR 20 between Van Horn Lane and just east of Sauk Connection Road between Concrete and Rockport beginning July 1, 2022 through September 30, 2022. Construction is scheduled to take place at night between the hours of 8:00 p.m. and 6:00 a.m.
This project will replace the existing culverts with new, larger culverts that will allow several species of fish to pass. The project will involve paving, striping, installation of traffic barrier, and fencing installation.
WSDOT anticipates that there will be no impacts to the travelling public as a result of this nighttime work. The work activities described above will be completed while a temporary bypass roadway is in place with the contractor working within their adjacent project site.
WSDOT is committed to reducing the inconvenience felt by those living near this project and will make reasonable efforts to minimize sound levels caused by nighttime work. If nearby residents are impacted by construction noise, WSDOT asks that they please notify the project engineer by calling (206) 440-4547 or emailing [email protected].
