Friend –

I wanted to reach out and personally thank each and every one of you who supported this campaign and gave your time, your money, and your vote to fight for change.

Although my primary result was not what we had hoped for, we made history with this campaign, and more importantly, we opened the door to a future of possibilities. We made a difference by talking about the issues that truly matter to people – from living wages, to access to healthcare, to protecting women’s reproductive rights, to prioritizing equity and inclusion both within our party and across our state. 

I also saw energy and excitement that many didn’t think was possible for our party. It’s clear that South Carolina Democrats are eager to win again, and we have to carry that energy forward. We must never stop working to create a South Carolina where everyone can thrive, and I plan to continue these efforts in my role as a State Senator. 

Thank you again to my friends, family, and team who supported me through it all. I’m so proud of the work we did together, and I’m filled with hope for the future of our state.
