Major news just broke:

Democratic and Republican Senators have announced they’re willing to work together to pass a bipartisan package of gun safety measures. And yesterday, even Mitch McConnell said he might support the bill.

While there is more to be done, including an assault weapons ban, it's encouraging to finally see some progress from Congress on addressing gun violence.

But Morgan McGarvey is facing an extreme GOP opponent who says he has made a “blood promise” that, if elected to Congress, he will oppose any common-sense reforms to keep our families, schools, and children safe from gun violence.

You read that right: Morgan’s Republican opponent is even more extreme than Mitch McConnell himself.

If we want to see solutions to gun violence, we can’t let radical Republicans like our opponent take control of the House (and remember – they need to flip just 5 seats to make that happen.)

Morgan is determined to keep Kentucky’s only Democratic district blue so he can head to Congress to put an end to gun violence and keep Kentucky families safe.
