I want to thank you for all your support, folks. 

When we launched this historic campaign a year ago today, I didn’t know what to expect. A minister and the son of two preachers, I wasn’t a typical politician — and many people doubted our movement in the beginning. And based on the political history of our state, we knew that this would be an uphill battle. But I’ve never been one to back down from the challenge, especially because I knew what was at stake — the opportunity for every Arkansan to succeed. 

What I didn’t expect was how inspiring the response to our movement would be across the country. We were able to grow our team, and the support of this grassroots coalition has won us the Democratic nomination for Governor of Arkansas, I couldn’t be more grateful. Arkansans are ready for change, and I know that with faith, hope, and hard work, we can win in November and build an Arkansas where everybody is valued — no matter who they are or where they come from. 

We're coming up on our most important mid-month fundraising deadline yet tonight at midnight. And we have a tough fight ahead of us if we’re going to flip Arkansas blue in November. In honor of the one-year benchmark of this campaign, can you chip in $20 or whatever you can afford to help reach our goal and build our momentum?

Our approach since the start has been to leave no community behind. And it's also how we’ll continue talking to folks as Governor. Because in Arkansas, the stakes are too high for us to elect someone who only looks out for the connected few. 

Which is exactly what my opponent Sarah Huckabee Sanders is all about. Since day one, she has been running a campaign based on divisiveness, refusing to participate in debates or even talk to voters about what’s really important — jobs, preschool, broadband. But I’m ready to build a movement that unites, not divides us — like nothing Arkansas has ever seen.

This is one of the most important statewide races in the country. This race will determine if Arkansas has new leadership that unites us or more of the same. Can you chip in $20 or anything you can right away before tonight’s mid-month fundraising deadline?
