I ask you often for your support for our work in North Carolina. You deserve to know why, so I’d like to lay out a few of my priorities — and I’m sure that we share them.

• Defending reproductive rights: Right Wing Republicans are preparing to subvert Roe v. Wade, and securing abortion access will soon be up to the states. Democratic governors are the last line of defense. As long as there are enough Democratic votes to uphold my veto in the legislature, I will make sure that reproductive rights are protected in our state.
• Expanding health care access: If the pandemic taught us anything, it has to be that health care access is a right. Every North Carolinian deserves to be able to seek the care they need to get and stay healthy.
• Upholding our democracy: By continuing to spout the Big Lie and push anti-voter and anti-democratic legislation, Republicans are preparing to subvert our electoral processes in future elections. We cannot let them succeed.
