Have you been polled by any chance about this race?
We’ve heard that my opponent has conducted a poll, and so far, the results have not been publicly released. When we conducted our poll, we told you what we learned – that when voters are provided basic information about my opponent and me, I come out ahead. The challenge for our campaign is having the financial resources to communicate this information to the 2 million voters in San Diego County.
My campaign is focused on the importance of updating the technology used by the Assessor/Recorder/County Clerk. For example, getting the value of new construction onto the property tax rolls quickly provides more money for education. Right now, the office has a disjointed process for learning about new construction. Some municipalities send the information by US mail. Folks, we are living in the 21st century, and there is an easy to implement software solution.
