Be there for LGBTQ youth—during Pride and every day of the yearÂ
Â
Hi
Friend of Trevor,
Pride celebrations are in full swing here at The Trevor Project. We’re sharing and amplifying “Stories of Pride” from LGBTQ young people — and supporting them wherever they are on their journeys to self-acceptance.
For our friend and Olympian, Megan Rapinoe, playing soccer allowed her to be her “most authentic self” and “truly shaped [her] life’s path.”
Like every year, an increased number of LGBTQ young people are contacting Trevor this month. Without love and support from an affirming community, Pride can be an especially isolating time. A wave of anti-LGBTQ state bills and laws and the ongoing that the COVID-19 pandemic have put additional pressure on their mental health.
When they reach out, we assure them that they are not alone. We affirm their beauty and resilience. We tell every LGBTQ young person that they are loved.
The Trevor Project is the world’s largest suicide prevention and crisis intervention organization for LGBTQ (lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, and questioning) young people.
