Identity GED students celebrate earning their high school diplomas. Each graduate’s journey was unique, overcoming tremendous obstacles to earn this important credential.

of academically struggling older youth in our Youth Opportunity Centers who were disconnected from the school system were reconnected either to school or a GED program. Last year, 131 young people attended Identity’s GED classes in both Spanish and English.
 
EVERY contribution counts, no matter the amount, and we are thrilled to have a donor who will match GIVING TUESDAY donations dollar for dollar.
  • $1000 changes a risky time to a positive time for a group of low-income youth with Identity’s Alternative Spring Break, offering enrichment experiences, academic support, and pure fun.  This includes transportation and meals, which too often prevent our youth from being able to take advantage of enrichment opportunities when school is out.
  • $500 allows 25 parents/guardians and youth working to reunify their families after separation build connection during a family outing to an outdoor nature center, including buses, food and any entry fees.
  • $240 covers the GED test fees for ten young adults earning their high school diplomas.
  • $150 helps 25 struggling young students practice reading at home with their favorite books like “The Story of Ferdinand” or “TeK”, getting them on the road to reading at grade level and beyond.
