DACA recipients face an uncertain future. The two-year lifecycle of DACA provides little hope for their future. With no real promise of permanent legal status, they fear making long-term life decisions – such as buying a home or starting a family. Many have anxiety about losing DACA protection with each new administration and the possibility of deportation to a country and culture they do not know. Only Congress can ensure permanent protection for all Dreamers. On this tenth anniversary of DACA, join Catholic Charities USA in urging Congress to pass the American Dream and Promise Act (H.R. 6) or similar legislation to provide permanent status and a pathway to citizenship for all Dreamers.
