John,
Showing their true colors once again, the SPLC recently released polling results that make it appear as if violence and support for, or openness to, assassination is a “hard-right” idea. The article on the polling denigrates those who want to protect children from experimentation! As you know, Nancy Abudu, Strategic Litigation Director for the SPLC, is still being considered for a federal judgeship. Her history with the SPLC and her clear intent to be an activist judge make her utterly unsuitable for this post.
Will you take a moment right now and tell your senators to oppose Nancy Abudu’s nomination?
The SPLC recently did a poll to “examine the extent to which the extremist beliefs and narratives that mobilize the hard right have been absorbed by the wider American public” and the article detailing the results was titled “SPLC Poll Finds Substantial Support for ‘Great Replacement’ Theory and Other Hard-Right Ideas.” There was much discussion in the article about partisanship and violence as well as gender identity ideology.
They asked whether people approved of threatening a politician who is “harming the country or our democracy,” and if people approved of assassinating a politician described in the same way. They found that “levels of approval for both scenarios were slightly higher for Democrats than Republicans,” yet their rhetoric and the very title of the article paint this idea as strictly a Republican one. They refuse to properly acknowledge the significant violence we have seen from the hard-Left. They refuse to leave politics aside and truly analyze the problem of ideologically motivated violence.
The final sentence of the article states “Our guard should be up, especially after receiving yet another stark reminder of the immense pain and violence that can come when far-right ideas are allowed to fester.”
Furthermore, the article also discusses gender identity ideology. They denounce bills to protect children and parental rights. They claim that arguments in support of bills that prevent children from going down a path of hormones and surgeries that are scientifically and anecdotally proven to be harmful is just “fearmongering” to deny equal rights.
We continue to see the corrupt and partisan nature of the SPLC. No one that voluntarily choses to work for such an organization, readily defends them, and refuses to denounce their wrongdoings, like Nancy Abudu, should be allowed to serve on the federal bench.
Please reach out now to tell your senators and ask them to oppose Nancy Abudu’s nomination!
Sincerely,
Your Friends at FRC Action
