It really happened, folks.

Last night, Republicans in Nevada nominated for secretary of state a man who campaigned on refusing to certify the 2020 election results.

Jim Marchant even tried to sue the state over alleged voter fraud (a lawsuit that was dismissed). Now, he’s one election away from overseeing the votes in a key battleground state.

The threat to our democracy just got a lot more real. I need your help right now in our efforts to stop Donald Trump and his cronies from getting back into power -- chip in today and let’s get to work:

Joe Biden won Nevada by getting over 33,000 more votes than Donald Trump. But if Jim Marchant had his way, Biden wouldn’t have received the state’s electoral votes.

This is Trump’s strategy: If he can install sycophants in election oversight positions in battleground states across the country, they will refuse to let him lose another close election. And look, it’d be one thing if this was all the product of our imaginations -- but people like Jim Marchant are spelling it out for us in no uncertain terms. They will do whatever it takes to send Donald Trump back to the White House.

The American SOS Project is my plan to stop this scheme by defeating Trump’s candidates before they even get into power. The stakes have never been clearer -- will you rush in a donation to help mount our campaign in Nevada and anywhere else our democracy is at stake this November?

This is a wake-up call for anyone hoping this chaos would all settle down eventually. They’re not going away. We can’t either.

Thank you,

Amy
