More evidence, less poverty

Hi John,

Today on Giving Tuesday, I’m excited to share with you our brand-new 4-minute film “Behind the Data”—which highlights the work of our amazing field teams, who are the backbone of what we do!

In the film, IPA field manager Abdulai Bah and team travel to Pujehun district, a remote area in Sierra Leone where they meet with elders, navigate barely passable roads, and travel by canoe to track survey respondents. The high-quality data they collect will be used by researchers to figure out which approaches are actually effective at reducing poverty, which aren’t, and why.

We hope you enjoy getting this behind-the-scenes view into how we do our research at IPA, and enjoy meeting some of the people who make life-changing research possible.

Remember our annual matching challenge is currently underway: all donations are doubled through this Thursday, December 5th!
