Today is Giving Tuesday, one of the most important fundraising days of the
year for us! Below, you can read a note from Ezra about what this movement
means. But if you already know our work well, here’s the short version:
we’re trying our damn best to raise $130,000 by the end of the day to
fully fund our work headed into next year. For the first $100k of
grassroots donations, we’ve got a match -- so every buck you give turns
into two bucks. [ [link removed] ]If you can, click here to help us make our goal today
with a tax-deductible gift. Thank you!

Hey Indivisibles,

A few days ago, Leah sent you a message about the early days of
Indivisible -- how we spent our Thanksgiving break three years ago writing
a guide to resistance that we hoped might be helpful to a few other people
around the country.

You know what happened next. History wasn’t made by a typo-filled Google
Doc. You made history. Onlookers became activists, and activists became
leaders. Thousands of Indivisible groups sprang up under one banner. For
three long -- VERY long -- years, we’ve built a nationwide movement
together that has defined what is possible in this country.

Indivisibles have made millions of calls. Organized and attended thousands
of events and rallies. Written letters. Recruited friends and neighbors
and colleagues.

Indivisible was just an idea 3 years ago. Today it’s a force to be
reckoned with. We -- all of us together across the country -- are a force
to be reckoned with.

All that work, like the movement itself, has always been powered by people
like you.

Whenever asking the Indivisible community for donations, I think of this
little joke. A pastor is speaking to his congregation about the church
roof that needs some repairs. He says, “I have good news and bad news. The
good news is that we have the money to fix the roof. The bad news is that
it’s in your pockets.”

So the good news for us is that the Indivisible movement has all the
people power, talent, drive, and money to save our democracy. The bad news
is that we’re going to ask you contribute all of that to make it happen.
Indivisible doesn’t take money from political figures or corporations. We
never have. Our single largest source of support is and always has been
grassroots donations.

That’s why today, on Giving Tuesday, I’m asking you to fund us into 2020.
We need to raise $130,000 from grassroots donors today to hit our targets
for next year’s work, and the first $100k of that will be doubled.

Whether we’re hiring more organizers to support local Indivisible groups,
running trainings to make our movement more inclusive and equitable, or
doing policy research to educate activists and elected leaders about the
issues, we promise that every dollar Indivisibles give, today and every
day, will go where we think it’ll do the most good and build the strongest
Indivisible movement possible.

[ [link removed] ]We're counting on you: help Indivisible Civics support movement
building, trainings, and all our work next year by meeting our Giving
Tuesday goal. Every gift will be matched. Here are some one-click donate
links in case you’re on your phone and it’s hard to type on a tiny screen:

If you’ve saved your information with ActBlue Express Lane, your donation
to Indivisible Civics will go through immediately:

I hope you know that even though I’m asking you for money, this movement
isn’t about money. If you can give a little now on Giving Tuesday --
great! We will use that support to grow the movement. That’s how we’ve
built Indivisible together from day one, and that’s how we’ll keep
building it into next year.

In solidarity,
Ezra
Co-Founder and Co-Executive Director, Indivisible
