We fight for New Yorkers like Hina, an attorney and nurse who worked the frontlines during the COVID-19 pandemic.
John,
Today is the 10-year anniversary of the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program, an initiative that forever altered the lives of over 800,000 people. DACA didn’t just provide protection against the looming threat of deportation — it opened up doors to higher education, created work visas and access to drivers licenses, and provided a sense of stability and security for families everywhere. But most importantly, DACA presented a vision for what citizenship could mean for Dreamers. We’re still fighting to make that vision a reality. Will you join us? ([link removed])
DACA was always meant to be a temporary fix for the cruelties of our broken immigration system and a deeply divided Congress. Yet, almost since the beginning, DACA remained under threat of termination. Months into his administration, Donald Trump attempted to end the program, but ultimately failed. Then, a Texas federal judge ruled it unlawful last July, challenging DACA’s existence. This now means that 80,000 first-time applicants and Dreamers are currently locked out of the DACA program.
This 10-year anniversary is a somber reminder of how much more work needs to be done to ensure the safety and protection of our Dreamers. Can we count on your support to power our movement? ([link removed])

The U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit is expected to hear oral arguments in this case in the next few weeks. In the meantime, DACA recipients, Dreamers and their families continue to live in limbo—fearful of the outcome of this case and all that it means for the over 800,000 people who have been raised in the U.S. and never really lived anywhere else — Home is Here.
By supporting our movement, ([link removed]) you are playing a crucial role in ensuring that immigrants’ rights are fully secured, once and for all.
In solidarity,
