John,
Human trafficking doesn’t happen in a vacuum.
It’s the result of injustices and inequities in our society.
We know this because we work closely with survivors, listening and learning from their experiences. They are the experts on how trafficking happens — and their stories are heartbreaking.
But more stories like theirs can be prevented. You can create change.
Will you give now, to prevent trafficking at the root of the problem?

We’ve learned from survivor data:
The vast majority of U.S. victims are people who have historically faced discrimination and its consequences. They are people of color, indigenous communities, immigrants, and LGBTQ+ people.
People living in poverty, or foster care, or with addiction, trauma, abuse, or unstable housing … they all face higher risk for trafficking.
What do they have in common that traffickers exploit?
There’s something they need, sometimes desperately. Traffickers target these needs, pretending to be helpers.

Here’s where you can make a difference:
Your gift TODAY can reach more people with the National Survivor Study and help us end trafficking.
Survivors are at the center of our movement. It’s vital that we hear from them to shape our prevention work and our direct care for victims.
So far, we’re learning that preventing human trafficking at the scale of the problem means fixing broken systems. Inequities and injustices in these systems make people vulnerable to trafficking.
We have more to learn from the expertise of survivors: how they end up in their trafficking situations and all the ways trafficking is happening now.
Your gift can ensure that every survivor has the chance to share their story and steer the fight to stop exploitation.
