Imagine a baby lion cub ( [link removed] ), just a few weeks old. All he wants is the smell and sound of his mother. Then watch as that innocent baby is ripped from his mother’s loving embrace to be sold, like an object, a thing. Dumped in a cardboard box in a garage near Moscow, awaiting his fate, Simba’s short life has been full of suffering.

Found terrified and starving, missing most of his fur, mewling in distress, so weak he could barely stand. As a mum, it makes me sick to my stomach to think of his bereft mother and how much Simba endured.  

We moved Simba from Russia to a halfway house with our friends at Natuurehulpcentrum, in Belgium. But it's just the start of his story... ( [link removed] )
