About the speakers
Myrna Melgar is SF's District 7 supervisor. She was previously executive director of the Jamestown Community Center, deputy director of the Mission Economic Development Agency, and served in the Mayor’s Office of Housing and as President of the SF Planning Commission.
Annie Fryman is director of cities at Abodu, a builder of backyard homes. Fryman previously led housing, land use, and transportation policy for State Senator Scott Wiener. She has also been a Stanford University researcher focusing on Black neighborhood history and destructive federal policy, an architectural designer, and a community organizer.
