The polls just closed on Maine’s primary elections, and I want to thank everyone who went out and voted. We’re now heading into the General Election, and that means the race is going to start heating up between my opponent and me.

John, November’s election is going to come down to the wire. Polls are showing that this is a close race, and pundits are calling it a virtual toss up. We have our work cut out for us, but I know we can win this race.

In this election, so much of what we value is on the ballot:

The right to affordable health care, including safe and legal abortion
The right to a good education for every child in Maine, regardless of their zip code
The right to clean air and clean water, unspoiled by climate change
The right and freedom to love who you want, without fear or discrimination
And the right to economic opportunity – to be able to work hard at a rewarding and good-paying job that supports your family and allows you to put your child to bed at night, clothed, fed, and safe from harm

These things, my friends – and so, so much more – are on the ballot this November, and I’m ready to keep fighting for the issues that matter most. Will you join me in the fight by making a donation of $10 as we hit the ground running into the general election?
