For over 100 years, June 19 – Juneteenth – has been an important day for many to commemorate the end of slavery in the United States. It’s a time for celebration, but it’s also a time to acknowledge and reflect on the impact of institutional racism in our country – and how it continues today.
Because Juneteenth is coming up on Sunday, we are sharing a quick guide to teaching the children in your life about Juneteenth:
