Hi John,
Last month, the CDC announced that overdoses hit an all-time high in 2021 with over 100,000 Americans dying. While not all of these deaths can be prevented, bad policy from President Biden and liberal states has certainly exacerbated the opioid crisis.
By turning over control of the southern border to drug cartels, President Biden has allowed deadly drugs, including fentanyl, to pour into our country. This massive influx has effectively turned every town in America into a border town.
Liberal states have added fuel to the fire by creating drug injection sites and even decriminalizing all drugs, including heroin, meth, and cocaine. These disastrous policies have caused overdoses to increase by as much as 700% in states like Oregon.
Conservatives support securing the southern border and restoring law and order which will go a long way in reducing overdoses.
