Friend, I've got BIG news to share.
Political experts often say that a campaign doesn't really begin until somebody goes on TV. If that's the case, then our race kicked off yesterday.
My first TV ads are LIVE, but I need $55,000 before midnight to keep them on the air. Will you donate $5 to help me share my story with more voters and flip Florida blue?
Let me explain why these ads are so important: If Democrats win in Florida, it's virtually guaranteed that we will expand our Senate majority. James Carville and other campaign veterans say that we can absolutely defeat Marco Rubio – but many Florida voters still don't know my name or my story.
I'm a few points behind Rubio in a conventional poll – but in a poll where voters were familiar with both candidates, I beat him by 9 POINTS.
EVERY VOTER reached by these ads MATTERS. We need to reach every Floridian if we're going to win in November, because Florida's last Senate race was decided by just 0.12% of the vote.
That's why I made a huge early investment in TV advertising to spread my story – but these ads are quickly draining our funding, so I need your help to build resources now.
Please, will you help me meet my $55,000 goal before midnight so I can keep my TV ads on the air, reach more voters and protect our Senate majority?
Thank you for your help,
Val Demings
