Giving is not only about making a donation, its about making a DIFFERENCE and together we can.
Our vision is a country where no person has to suffer and where the rights of the most vulnerable are respected and protected.

Our Mission is to reduce the number of migrant deaths occurring along the U.S./Mexico border, and empower San Diego County’s immigrant population through human rights advocacy, anti-discrimination and equality.

As a result of the “Remain in Mexico” program that defied US and international laws, we have about 15,000 asylum seekers in Tijuana— the most dangerous city in the world— waiting months for their day in court. Border Angels supports 16 shelters in Tijuana and two in Mexicali with things like paying for their water bill, electricity, food runs, construction materials and donations in kind. These shelters do not receive help from the US government nor the Mexican government.

We want to do more but we need your continued support. We are able to continue this very important work thanks to your donations of time, talent, and treasure.

We cannot do it without you!

Because of your support we have brought countless smiles to children’s faces when our mobile school bus shows up to teach them classes that they would otherwise not have to distract them, even for a minute, from their traumas.

Because of your continued support we have dropped much needed water and supplies in the desert for those people that are so desperate that they have risked death when crossing our border.

Thanks to your generosity we have been able to continue our outreach to Day Laborers in San Diego County, offered free legal consultations for both immigration and employment law matters, and offered many other educational opportunities for people all over the world to learn and see for themselves the humanitarian crisis in our border region.

This #GivingTuesday your contribution will make an impact, whether you donate
$5 ([link removed][UNIQID]) or $500 ([link removed][UNIQID]) . Every little bit helps. And on GivingTuesday Dec 3, Facebook will match a total of $7 ([link removed][UNIQID]) million in donations first come, first serve. Thank you for your support!

Water Drops

Regular Water Drops take place on the 3rd Saturday and Advanced Water Drop on the last Saturday of every month. With the help of volunteers, Border Angels leave gallon jugs of water, canned food and light clothing items in the desert along high-traffic migrant paths. Through these water drops, volunteers also gain a sense of what migrants experience in the desert, underscoring that water represents the difference between life and death.

Familias Reunidas Bond Project

Border Angels pledges to end Family Separation one family at a time!

This week Border Angels will kick off our Familias Reunidas campaign. This campaign seeks to raise awareness and support those being held in local ICE detention centers due to their lack of funds to post bond. Border Angels is proud to contribute $50,000 to its Familias Reunidas campaign which will post bond for at least ten people in detention and allow them to rejoin their families. But, we need your help to get more people out of the Otay Detention Center.

This Thanksgiving, as we give thanks for our blessings, consider that there are families separated simply because they are unable to pay their immigration bond. Please donate to our bond fund.

100% of your donation will go toward getting someone out of detention and reunited with their families.

An immigration bond is the amount of money set by the Department of Homeland Security or an immigration judge as a condition to release a person from detention for an immigration court hearing at a later date. To set bond, a judge has to determine that the person is not a threat to the public and that they will be appearing at their immigration court hearings. Unfortunately, our immigration system allows for immigration judges to issue bonds in the minimum amount of $1500 and often well over $20,000 in a very inconsistent and arbitrary manner. For our immigrant families, that means that although an immigration judge has determined they qualify for a bond, they are nevertheless locked in detention until their families are able to raise the bond fund. There are highly predatory bond companies that require high initial payments with high interest and require that the person posting bond is a US citizen or legal permanent resident, and therefore, are unavailable to some immigrant families.

On December 21, Border Angels will host a dinner for these families to celebrate their reunification and remind us of the dignity of those seeking a better future for their families.

Love has no borders!

Everyday a mom spends in detention is a day that their children go without her hugs and affection. Everyday that the head of household is in detention is another day that the family has to wonder how they will pay their rent and put bread on the table.
Help us reach our goal and donate now!
