Don’t let the lack of a few hundred dollars be the reason someone like Alonso can’t renew their DACA.

Friend,
Tomorrow I’m going to ask you to donate a small amount to the DACA Renewal Fund — but before I do, I wanted to tell you why this cause is so important to me and my fellow DACA recipients. People like Alonso.
The DACA renewal fee is currently $495. That fee covers the renewal of protections that provide us with the ability to live and work in our communities without the fear of deportation, but for many DACA recipients living on a tight budget, that $495 might as well be a fortune.
The DACA Renewal Fund is how people across the country are coming together to help ensure that all who are eligible can renew their DACA, regardless of cost. It’s the best way to support DACA recipients as we wait for the Supreme Court’s ruling on our case.
Meet Alonso. He represents one of the success stories DACA has made possible.

Alonso is one of the nearly 700,000 undocumented young people whose lives depend on DACA. He has lived in Georgia for 20 years now, since he was 10 years old.
DACA has allowed Alonso to become a licensed massage therapist, and to live without fear of deportation. But losing DACA would mean a total reset on Alonso’s life.
People throughout America are determined not to let the cost of the application be the reason someone like Alonso can’t renew their DACA.
By giving to the DACA Renewal Fund this Giving Tuesday, you will help make sure that DACA recipients just like Alonso and myself have what we need to renew our DACA and to breathe a little easier this holiday season.
