Blumenthal is Running Scared Weeks Before GOP Primary Determines His Opponent
GREENWICH, CT - A recent May Quinnipiac poll showed Senator Richard Blumenthal “with his lowest approval rating since being elected to the U.S. Senate nearly 12 years ago.” That in combination with Biden’s 37% approval rating is setting the stage for a difficult re-election for the Senator who has served as a consistent vote for the President’s radical agenda. After Blumenthal placed an ad buy for over $100,000 in the weeks leading up to the GOP primary on August 9th, Republican candidate for Senate Leora Levy issued a statement saying the career politician is scared of his prospects in a year ripe for Republican takeovers.
Leora Levy Statement on Blumenthal’s Ad Buys:
“There is no doubt in my mind that Senator Blumenthal is scared to face voters at the polls after aligning himself with the most radical voices in his party and serving as a rubber stamp for Biden’s failed economic agenda, which has brought unprecedented inflation and hardship to all Connecticut families.
“Blumenthal has been riding Biden’s coattails all the while failing Connecticut residents and forcing them to pay for his mistakes. Connecticut residents need a true America first Conservative fighter to go up against Blumenthal. As someone who escaped the clutches of communist Cuba and came to this country as a child, I understand and have lived the American dream. As a trusted 51st Republican vote in the Senate, I will always safeguard the opportunity for every American to achieve their own American dreams. I will only support policies that strengthen the U.S. both at home and abroad.”
