Most Members of Congress spend many hours every day fundraising for
re-election. That often includes being on the phone with donors for hours
each day.

It’s called “Call Time” and is considered part of the job.

But because people like you support
Alexandria with small-dollar digital donations, she doesn’t
do “call time.” Instead, she can spend her time answering your questions
and sharing key information.

If you’ve been following Alexandria on Instagram, you may have seen that
she’s been using the platform to share lots of key behind-the-scenes
information on topics ranging from the future of Puerto Rico to gun
control, and what to expect as a first-time voter.

Alexandria’a ability to continue sharing vital information with her 8.5
million followers and growing our movement depends on all of us pitching
in with small-dollar donations. We need her time spent breaking down major
issues and what’s going on in Congress – not fundraising.

[ [link removed] ]If you’re able to, can you pitch in $5, $15 or $50 today so that
Alexandria has the time to focus on what matters – growing our movement
and bringing more people in to what’s happening in D.C.

Just take a look at her response to someone’s question about how she’s
able to share such detailed responses to questions she receives through
Instagram stories:

Everything you see on there is directly from Alexandria. No staff, just
her – sharing her honest thoughts and experiences as the youngest member
of Congress in history.

Alexandria is always looking for new ways to break through the barriers of
“old-school” media to engage more people in politics – especially young
people. It’s why she hosted a livestream on Twitch where she reached
435,000 viewers to get out the vote – which became one of the platforms 20
biggest streams ever.^1

It’s why she regularly hosts Instagram Lives after major events to break
down what’s going on and how you can help.

And all of this is only possible because she has the time to do it instead
of making calls to wealthy donors. [ [link removed] ]If you’re able to, please pitch in
whatever you can to help power Alexandria’s re-election without call time.

Thank you for all of your support. It’s truly what makes it all possible.

– Team AOC
