The Senate announced a bipartisan framework that, if passed, will mark the most consequential federal gun violence prevention policies we have seen in 30 years – and the gun lobby is already spreading lies and trying to stop this lifesaving progress.
This is the kind of change that gun violence prevention activists have been fighting for for decades , since Brady passed our namesake background checks bill in the ‘90’s, but the gun lobby has never failed to fight against us, and this time is no different.
One group is calling these policies "an assault on the Second Amendment," when these are common sense solutions supported across party lines.
