Real Texans and real leaders aren’t afraid to stand up for what’s right -- and Texas voters know that Republicans in Austin won’t lift a finger to stop extreme legislation that defunds our public schools, makes it harder for Texans to cast a vote, or wastes taxpayer money on cruel and unnecessary border policies.
And when it comes time to redistrict in 2021, we can be sure that even moderate Republicans will vote with the rest of their caucus to manipulate the gerrymandering process and guarantee ten more years of hyperpartisan districts which disenfranchise average Texans.
Team Fair & Square has identified 9 Republican targets who put their own re-election chances at risk by falling out of touch with their own districts-- and we have a plan to show them the door.
With every state house district up for grabs this year, we have a shot at flipping these districts once and for all and making sure Democrats are at the table to stop the GOP from designing district maps that keep Republicans in office instead of reflecting the popular vote.
