Publicly reporting our campaign fundraising numbers for the upcoming FEC deadline is a big enough deal on its own, but this time around, there are even more factors at play that add to the impact this filing has.  ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌

Publicly reporting our campaign fundraising numbers for the upcoming FEC deadline is a big enough deal on its own, but this time around, there are even more factors at play that add to the impact this filing has. Here are a few of the major things I’m taking into consideration:

  • I’m running in a brand new district. For the first time ever, I’ll be on the general ballot for California’s 30th congressional district. Right-wing Fox News talking heads will see this as an opportunity to smear my name to voters who may have never seen me on a ballot until now. Having a weak FEC report would just give them more fodder to peddle lies over the airwaves.
  • Republicans have made their top priorities clear. They’re attacking reproductive rights, denying any accountability for their actions on January 6th, and standing in the way of common-sense gun safety measures. It’s clear that they’ve fully embraced MAGA extremism and will do anything to gain Trump’s attention.
  • This is the final FEC deadline until September, the final sprint of the election. It’s a midterm year, and having a strong FEC report this summer will serve as a temperature gauge for what’s to come in November. Everyone — political pundits, the media, and our opponents will be looking at our report to see if we have the momentum needed to defend our majorities and expand upon them.

These are a few of the many reasons why I need your support before our mid-month deadline tomorrow. If you can, contribute $10 to help us get ahead before the quarterly FEC deadline gets here.

Thank you so much for helping out and being a part of the team.
