As we near the close of our fiscal year on June 30, we’re reaching out to our supporters and asking them to renew their membership before we close the books on this year.

This is important because whatever we’re able to raise before June 30 will determine how ambitious our agenda can be for the upcoming year.

As you know, climate experts predict we have less than eight years to course-correct in order to avoid the worst impacts of climate change. But unfortunately, California lawmakers have STILL failed to pass any major climate bills in the last four years. 

This year MUST be different. We currently have a powerful slate of bills making its way through the California Legislature, covering everything from solar power to phasing out single-use plastic. But the future of these bills depends entirely on how much pressure we can put on lawmakers. 

And if lawmakers ultimately fail to support our bills? We need to vote them out this November. 

I’m not going to sugarcoat this: All of this work is expensive. And with our fiscal year ending in just a few weeks, we urgently need to raise more funds to power our ambitious agenda.
