Good afternoon, JOHN.

My name is Carl Marlinga and I’m running for Congress in Michigan’s newly
formed 10th District.

I’ve spent my entire life here in Michigan, serving the community for nearly
40 years as a prosecutor and a judge. Now, I’m running for Congress because I
want to continue serving our community by creating clean energy and advanced
vehicle jobs; bringing the supply chain back home from undemocratic regimes
like China; and protecting our Great Lakes and Lake St. Clair from polluters. I
have the experience and determination it takes to win in November, but I need
your support to get my campaign started. Will you do me the honor of joining my
campaign by donating $25 today to help me keep our momentum going?

I love this community, and I have deep roots here. When I was young, my
parents owned a convenience store in south Warren. Throughout my childhood, we
were robbed four times and on one occasion, my father was actually shot at.
These terrifying episodes fueled my passion for justice and inspired me to
become a prosecutor. As a prosecutor and a judge, I cracked down on
white-collar criminals who committed fraud against taxpayers, recovered
millions of dollars for seniors who were cheated, and fought to prevent
neighboring communities from dumping waste into Lake St. Clair.

As your Congressman for the 10th District, I promise to fight for good-paying
union jobs in Macomb and Oakland counties.

So many folks will tell you we have to choose between the economy and our
environment, but I’m here to tell you that’s just not true. Michiganders’
innovation and hard work put the world on wheels. We can lead the world again.
I am running because it is absolutely vital that America lead on clean energy
and advanced vehicles so we can create good-paying union jobs. We must bring
the supply chain back home from countries like China while ending our
dependence on foreign oil that has allowed dictators like Vladimir Putin to
blackmail the free world.

I understand the hopes, aspirations and challenges facing families and small
businesses who have made their home in Macomb and Oakland counties because
these folks have been my neighbors for nearly 40 years. This community is in my
blood and I will fight tirelessly to make it stronger.

This election is going to be a tough fight, but I know that with your support,
we can win this thing and bring common sense back to Congress.

Will you help my campaign build momentum by chipping in today?
