Friend, I’m about to ask you to make a $5 donation to my grassroots campaign, but first I want to explain why I’m running:
1. Let’s be clear: I’m not a politician. I’m a labor activist. I advocated on behalf of firefighters at the IAFF and frontline grocery store workers and meatpackers with the UFCW to ensure they got the workplace protections they deserve.
2. We’re facing unprecedented challenges. Thousands of workers across the country have gone on strike this year. Their demands for safer workplace conditions and better pay are core tenants of the labor movement and I support their decision to strike.
3. The time for change is NOW. President Biden has multiple landmark bills that he’s trying to pass right now that would create good-paying union jobs for working families in Illinois. But corporate-backed special interest politicians are fighting tooth and nail to keep it off the books.
If we don’t send pro-labor politicians to Washington, working families will continue to be put last. That’s why I’m asking you for $5.
Listen, we’re $2,321 short of our weekly fundraising goal. Will you chip in $5 right now to our grassroots fight to send a champion for working families to Washington? »
If you've saved your payment information with ActBlue Express, your donation will go through immediately:
This will be one of the most competitive races in the entire country. Let’s win this together.
