I am writing to you today to ask for your help!

A mobile zoo named Zoo2U has put in a controversial application with Cheshire East Council to build a NEW zoo.

We do not need new zoos (or any zoos) in the 21st Century!
SUBMIT OBJECTION TO COUNCIL

They plan to build enclosures to house the existing animals they hold captive plus red squirrels, pancake tortoises, golden lion tamarins (small primate) and turtle doves. None of these animals want or need to be held captive!

For primates this is especially odd with laws about banning primates as pets is currently going through parliament, why would anyone plan on ‘keeping’ them?  
That's why I need your help to STOP this proposed new zoo!

I am asking our wonderful supporters to put in an objection with the planning department of Cheshire East Council. Unfortunately, the deadline for objections is tomorrow 15th June, so we need you to do this as quickly as possible. Objections after tomorrow are unlikely to be heard.

Sadly, animal welfare is not a consideration in the planning process. Whilst you can add your feelings about the suffering animals will endure in a new zoo, there are other points you can make regarding the proposal for this planning project that are more likely to be heard.

That is why I have made some points in the form via the link below, that you can either send directly to the council or take and add some points of your own. Please add the reference number to any emails you send. Ref: 22/1435C

Another point I want you to be aware of is the strong link with the zoo and the killing of badgers, known by farmers as the badger cull!

The premises will be based at a dairy farm, and we have been informed that a director of the Cheshire East badger cull owns this land.

The hypocrisy of this is enormous!

The zoos claims of conservation being made in the proposal, in contrast with the killing of a protected species in the badger cull!

We must, together STOP this new zoo from being built.
