First things first, we did not reach quorum for this meeting — we need 140 voters and we only got 107. However, we still feel it is reasonable to take the following actions:
- Appointing Amy W as co-chair and Olivia M as elected organizers The LC does not require the vote of the membership to appoint new LC members so this is totally in accordance with our bylaws.

- Adopting the Tukwila Raise the Wage resolution. While we don’t have quorum, the results for this vote were so overwhelmingly in-favor (102 yes, 5 abstaining) that it would be ridiculous to not pass this.

- The breakfast program resolution had a majority of members voting against it but only lost by a margin of 11 votes. Being 37 short of quorum, it is easy to imagine this going either way if we had had a few dozen more people in the mix. While it obviously doesn’t pass as written, there is clearly a large swath of members that supports this resolution. In the light of these un clear results. The LC will be taking up a discussion of alternate ways to fund this program in the near future.

Thanks to everyone for voting and to the six members who ran for the open LC seats!
Solidarity, Seattle DSA’s Local Council
