Hey Everybody--
Thanks for signing up to volunteer! As things are heating up for
the summer, so is OUR campaign. No, it's not MY campaign, it is OUR
campaign. I am the candidate, but you are the people who I will
represent. We can only win if we work TOGETHER!
I know that you are struggling with inflation, I am too. I know
that you are sickened by the gun violence that is killing our innocent
citizens, especially children. I am too. I know that you are shocked
& outraged that the SCOTUS is heading towards reversing Roe vs.
Wade. I am too. But we are not helpless.
I keep meeting people who say, "I am not political & don't
vote." Many of them are the most vulnerable in our communities.
Honestly, it was a rude awakening for me. And we hear over & over
about "fighting" for our rights. We have been thinking about this all
wrong. Instead of "fighting" for our rights, we should be fighting to
replace the policymakers who are making these decisions about our
lives. If they aren't in office, the need for fighting becomes
diminished.
We can live in a country where we have policies that protect our
rights and our children. We can have policies that build up our
communities. We can policies that support hardworking Americans. We
can have policies that support the underprivileged and rural counties
who have been forgotten. WE CAN!
But WE MUST HARNESS OUR POWER! We aren't helpless. We have the
power! It is solely up to us to create change. That power lies in
educating voters, encouraging voters, getting them registered, and to
the polls in November.
YOU are Southern Ohio's best asset. YOU are what can change this
country. I promise to never leave Southern Ohioans behind. I promise
to do everything in my power to level the playing field for all of us
to have an opportunity to achieve the American Dream. I know that you
care as deeply about your community as I do. Let's do something about
it!
I am asking you to help make that happen. My volunteers work
differently than other campaign volunteers. I want to know what skills
and talents you possess. We can find a way to use them to reach voters
and get our message out!
