We live in a world that is becoming less habitable by the day at the hands of a dramatically changing environment. The time to take action was yesterday. 

However, "yesterday" was a time when our representative, Eliot Engel, was busy -- taking money from special interests who have created superfund sites and introducing bills intended to increase domestic fossil fuel production and consumption. Today, we are in a zero-sum fight for the future of our planet, and it is clear that our Congressman is not on our planet’s side. When elected, I will reject all corporate donations to make sure that I represent the district, not special interests. I will fight for a Green New Deal in order to give our future a fighting change against climate change. 

We need all hands on deck to save our planet from irreparable harm. The time for bold action is now.
