Hi John,

Today is the primary election here in Maine, which means we’ll soon learn who our GOP opponent will be. Before that, though, I wanted to remind you what we’re up against.

Kevin McCarthy and GOP groups have made it clear that they are all in to defeat Jared in November. They've already invested more money in our district than ever before, and we know they have big plans to attack Jared on TV in the fall.

After the results come in and a winner is declared, dark money and special interest groups will focus all their efforts – and cash – on boosting our opponent. That means our fight to keep Jared in Congress is only going to ramp up from here.

But as a grassroots campaign, we rely on supporters like you to keep us going – not deep-pocketed special interest groups.

So, ahead of today’s primary, can you chip in whatever you’re able to right now so that we can start our general election fight off tomorrow in a strong position? We still need to raise $1,822 to reach our pre-primary fundraising goal.
