Now is our democracy moment.

John,

Since I founded Issue One five years ago, I’ve gotten a lot of questions about what the one solution is for fixing our democracy.

My answer has remained the same throughout the years — there is no one silver bullet to fix our democracy, but there is a single path: creating a bold agenda and driving it with everything we’ve got.

That’s what Issue One is doing day in and day out. And we’re working harder than ever because NOW is our democracy moment.

On the eve of #GivingTuesday, can you chip in $10 or more to help us achieve the political reforms needed to restore our democracy?

The signs are everywhere that this is a historic moment. The public is on our side. In poll after poll, overwhelming majorities of Americans say they’re ready for change. Across the country, there’s a hunger to make lasting political reform happen now. With your help, we can seize this critical moment and make 2020 a banner year for democracy reform.

And we’ve got momentum on the issues. In 2019, Issue One helped move Majority Leader Mitch McConnell on election security funding. We assisted with the creation, and extension, of the bipartisan Select Committee on the Modernization of Congress. We’ve recruited 37 Republicans and Democrats to sponsor the Honest Ads Act — a bill we helped craft.

Tomorrow, #GivingTuesday, is one of the most important days of the year for Issue One and we need your support to seize our democracy moment now. Can you pitch in $10 or more to help us build on these victories? We can do this.

Thank you for your support,

Nick Penniman
