Dear John,
Pacific Justice Institute’s Center for Public Policy (PJI-CPP) has been actively involved in multiple states’ legislative processes for over ten years, working with policymakers to craft bills that preserve and uphold religious freedoms, parental rights, and the sanctity of life.
PJI-CPP is in overdrive, objecting to ludicrous state bills and advocating for righteous ones. In state legislatures across America, PJI-CPP talks with lawmakers before erroneous bills become law, ultimately saving taxpayer dollars by ensuring that unconstitutional bills aren’t codified into law.
For example, did you know that in California, there is a bill pending that would explicitly prohibit child-placing agencies from declining to place a foster child with a resource family because a resource family parent identifies as lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, or queer? PJI-CPP’s opposition statement on AB 2466, sent to the California Assemblymembers states as follows:
“The placement of children into loving homes continues to be a major challenge in California, as it is in the rest of the nation. But AB 2466 would only exacerbate the problem... by eliminating qualified families from faith traditions that continue to respectfully disagree with the political goals of LGBTQ advocacy groups..."
AB 2466 is driven by ideology, not evidence. And it will only serve to drive more loving families away from the foster systems at a time when they are most needed. It is highly likely to be invalidated by the courts and needlessly cost taxpayers as the Attorney General’s office attempts to defend this indefensible Bill.”
Would you consider a generous donation to PJI today to enable us to keep the vigil in statehouses across the U.S.?
Below are a few recent declarations from our supporters:
“You are blessing God's people in many ways, at a time that they really need help! . . . Thank you for being there fighting for America . . . I appreciate your standing in the gap for us and offering assistance as needed . . . Prayers lifted for God’s continued provision, guidance and protection while PJI is out there battling amidst the darkest of trenches for the family of fellow believers.”
Thank you in advance for your financial support of PJI.
Running the Race,
Brad Dacus
