Let's recap:

As you know, Kevin McCarthy long defended Trump after Jan. 6th. He called the Democrats' investigation a witch hunt, and tried to shut it down at every turn.

But reports emerged proving that McCarthy privately agreed that Trump should RESIGN after Jan. 6th. He (of course) denied the allegations, but audio recordings were clear: “My recommendation is that [Trump] should resign.”

McCarthy lied -- plain and simple. He knew Trump was a danger to our democracy, but he protected him to keep his chances of becoming Speaker of the House alive. Now, he's ignoring a congressional subpoena. It's clear that all he cares about is power -- even if it comes at the cost of the truth, country, and our democracy.
