I hope you had a chance to watch the January 6th hearings. The images of violence and the heartbreaking testimony from a police officer who was on duty that day chilled me to the bone.
Friend, Donald Trump and the Republicans who enabled him are responsible for what happened on January 6th. We have to hold them accountable so something like that never happens again. That's what makes these hearings so important.
These hearings are beyond partisan politics -- beyond winning and losing.
I was inside the U.S. Capitol Building on January 6th, 2021. I saw the violence first-hand as insurrectionists attacked the very seat of our democracy. I saw the Capitol Police bravely risk their lives in our defense.
