The bipartisan gun-safety framework is a good first step. [link removed]
Friend --
America's gun violence epidemic has plagued our country and terrorized our
children for far too long.
That's why I'm thrilled that a bipartisan group of senators just announced a
framework for critical gun safety legislation -- and I'm promising you right now
that I'm going to put this bill on the Senate floor for a vote as soon as
possible.
But this isn't a done deal yet. The NRA is sure to step up its dark money
disinformation campaign and try to stop this progress. If you support gun safety reform, I need you to sign your name and help demonstrate a massive wave of public support for commonsense gun safety measures. [link removed] SIGN ON → [link removed]
If we pass this bill, it will be the first time in nearly 30 years that Congress
takes meaningful action on gun reform.
And while this bill won't solve everything, it would be a good first step. As it
stands, the current framework would enhance background checks, invest in
state-level red flag laws, and fund mental health services. These common sense
reforms will help protect Americans across the country -- if a single life can
be saved, it is worth the effort.
But we can't take anything for granted. If you're one of the millions of Americans demanding stronger gun safety legislation, sign your name right now. [link removed] SIGN ON → [link removed]
