The 2019 annual real and personal property tax bills were sent out last month, so be sure to check your mailbox or, if you've signed up for e-billing, your inbox. Thank you to everyone who signed up for e-billing, not only did you help us save money but you helped us bill more efficiently.
2019 Tax Bills and You
The 2019 real and personal property tax bills totaled $434,584,537.74 and are due by January 15, 2020 to avoid late penalties.
We want to make your payment experience as convenient as possible so here is a quick look at the various payment methods we offer. New this year, there are no additional fees when paying by electronic check online or by phone!
Online
Visit myBeaufortCounty.com to pay using an electronic check or any major credit card and your receipt will be emailed to you. There are no added fees when paying by electronic check.
By phone
Call 888-970-0624 to pay using a checking account, savings account, or any major credit card and your receipt will be mailed to you 7-10 business days. There are no added fees when paying by electronic check.
By Mail
Using the envelope provided and remittance coupon from your bill, send your payment by mail with your check made payable to the Beaufort County Treasurer. Please also include your name, address, phone number and RevObjID on your check, all of which can be found on the remittance coupon of your tax bill. A paid receipt will be mailed to you in 7-10 business days. For your security, always put your payment in a USPS mail receptacle and not your personal mailbox.
