The January 6 Select Committee's hearings continue to provide damning evidence proving that President Trump and his campaign knew he lost the election – and that the Big Lie he and his supporters spent months parroting was based on outright lies and deceit.
With two more hearings scheduled for this week, there will be much to unpack, process, and evaluate as we learn more about who was involved and what the fight for accountability will look like moving forward.

I hope you were able to tune in to the January 6 Select Committee’s hearing last night. We saw in excruciating detail just how close we came to losing our democracy in a coup – as well as the roles played by the former President and his allies in fomenting the seditious conspiracy. At least five more public hearings are planned, and they promise to be just as riveting.
This is a momentous and unprecedented point in American history, so I wanted to drop a note to say THANK YOU for your support of People For the American Way.
We need to mobilize and engage as many Americans as possible around these hearings if we’re going to overcome the Far Right’s “counterprogramming” propaganda on Fox News and other right-wing media, secure our democracy from attacks like the attempted Trump coup, and keep the Far Right from seizing control of Congress and/or our statehouses in this fall’s elections. Thanks to your support of our work, we are doing just that.
