Folks, 

I have a rare 15 minutes free in my schedule this morning while I drink my coffee, and it’s allowed me to reflect on how far we’ve come since I was elected as MI-11’s Congresswoman in 2018. 

Before I dive into the details, our team set a $15,000 mid-month goal that’s going to help us sustain our voter outreach efforts ahead of our FEC deadline. Will you pitch in $25 today?

When I first got involved in public service as the Chief of Staff under President Obama’s auto task force, I didn’t know it would lead me to where I am now. That fighting to protect Michigan’s workers and families would turn into my full-time passion and job.

I decided to run for Congress because I knew Michigan deserved better – needed better – and because of this team, we flipped MI-11 blue for the first time in nearly 100 years.

Since my time in office we’ve provided resources for women in STEM, supported small businesses during the pandemic, encouraged domestic production for our manufacturers, and so much more.

And while I’m proud of all we’ve accomplished together, there’s still so much at stake to be worried about. Gun violence is soaring, reproductive rights are on the brink of destruction, climate change is spiraling – and Republicans aren’t willing to do a single thing about it.

I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t frustrated, folks. But it’s because of my frustration that I refuse to give up.

We need our Democratic House majority to remain intact if we’re going to get legislation passed that will protect American families. And we need to continue pressuring Republicans into working across the aisle to do what’s right.

Our August 2nd primary is coming up and I’m more fired up than ever to make history and win MI-11 for a third consecutive term.

But we need to keep our offices up and running, our TV ads on the airwaves, and our volunteers rejuvenated and refreshed so we can connect with voters across the district. Can we count on you to chip in $25 or more to help us meet our mid-month goal and win?
