Friend - Wednesday marks 10 years since immigrant youth won DACA, and that’s why I'll be marching in DC! 📣
Last year was the first time I was granted DACA, when initial applications were briefly accepted again. My step-dad and I applied together. But although we were both eligible, because DACA has continued to be attacked in the courts, my step-dad was left out again. Due to the Democrats' inaction on delivering permanent protections the past 10 years, my family lives with the daily anxiety of not knowing what our future will hold. 👎
While I’m in DC on June 15th bringing our demands for permanent protections for all 11 million directly to Congress & the Biden Administration, YOU can take action in District of Columbia too! 🗣️Will you join me in our fight for permanent protections on June 15th?
✨ TAKE ACTION! ✨
Living undocumented without DACA for the last 20 years has taught me that the fight for our fundamental human rights are bigger than protecting one program. That’s why when I got the opportunity to travel to DC, I Immediately I thought of the demands my community in Kansas City would want me to bring to the capital.
💪Just like the immigrant youth power that won DACA, we’re stronger when we take action together, Friend! 📍There’s an event for the 10 years of DACA in District of Columbia! Check out our Action Map to learn more and sign up!
